Pigna – Freestanding Majolica Bioethanol Fireplace
The Pigna bioethanol fireplace is an elegant furnishing accessory, entirely handcrafted in double-fired majolica with a durable, high-quality glazed finish.
Available in various colors, it integrates easily into any home environment.
Included accessory: aroma-therapy deflector/diffuser that also increases energy efficiency.
DIMENSIONS: D.35 cm – H.50 cm – Weight 10 kg
Stainless steel 316 burner, 400 cc (approx. 3 hours of burn time)
BIOETHANOL COMBUSTION SYSTEM
The fireplace uses bioethanol as fuel—an atoxic, odorless, smoke-free distillate that produces no ash or harmful particles during combustion.
Derived from fruit and/or cereals, bioethanol is an ecological and safe fuel that burns producing only water vapor and carbon dioxide, similar to the output of three candles.
The burner tank capacity is 600 cc, with a maximum filling limit of 400 cc.
Bioethanol consumption is approximately 100 cc per hour, and a full charge lasts between 3 and 4 hours depending on fill level.
One liter of bioethanol produces about 7.16 kW of heat, enough to warm spaces of 20–25 m².
FUNCTIONALITY & SAFETY
This fireplace does not require a chimney, avoiding the need for complex masonry work.
Flame control is made even safer thanks to the included flame-extinguishing paddle, allowing you to put out the fire easily when needed.
Additionally, the fireplace features an aroma-therapy deflector/diffuser, which not only improves energy efficiency but also enhances the sensory experience by allowing pleasant fragrances to be dispersed in the room.
Correct use requires only a few basic rules:
choose certified bioethanol
fill the burner only when the fireplace is cold
keep a safe distance from flammable materials
air out the room after use
Thanks to clean combustion, no chimney or ventilation system is needed.
Note: Bioethanol is not included and can be purchased at hardware stores.
MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
The outer structure of the fireplace is made of high-quality ceramic, subjected to two firing processes: one at 1000°C (biscuit phase) and one at 900°C (glaze vitrification).
This artisanal process ensures a solid, elegant product with premium finishes. The burner, entirely in stainless steel, is designed to provide maximum efficiency, while rock wool inside the burner absorbs the bioethanol and optimizes combustion—allowing it to burn down to the last drop and stabilizing the flame.
ECOLOGY & SUSTAINABILITY
Thanks to bioethanol fuel, this fireplace represents an ecological solution for home heating, significantly reducing environmental impact compared to traditional fireplaces.
The combustion of bioethanol produces no smoke, soot, or toxic substances, making its use safe and health-friendly.
