Curved Glass: How It’s Made

To bend the glass, it is heated slowly to about 700°C, until it becomes soft. Then, it follows the shape of a mold using gravity.
After that, the glass is cooled down slowly. This step is important to make the glass strong and safe. Slow cooling removes internal stress.
Some pieces go through a second heating to improve the quality even more. This makes the final product very durable and long-lasting.
